I was really excited to pick up this book. I don’t read a lot of non fiction but when I do I tend to really like books in the self help section. I for sure really liked this book it was good. Tamara Branch touches on things we all want to hear! I liked the formating and approach for the subjects she wanted to talk about it was nice and simple and straight to the point. This book is also really short you can read it in one sitting, no problem and at the end you feel really good about yourself .
I loved that I could sit down for a few moment here and there and just get a little boost It Girl 4 Life is great for that and I would for sure recommend this book to all tween and teenage girls. I wish I had the chance to read this book when I was younger and struggling with my own identity but i am so glad that the younger generation has Mrs. Branch’s voice to help them out.
The only complaint I have is possibly having something to reinforce the points she was making. A lot of self help book include a “do it yourself” section after the written portion. This could include journaling your thoughts on the subject or something like that and for me that can really drive home the point the author was trying to make.
Overall a rather enjoyable and worth a read if it sounds appealing to you pick it up!
