Waiting on Wednesday

which spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
pub: St. Martin’s Griffin
genre: YA Fantasy > Magic
Goodreads Synopsis:
Rainbow Rowell continues to break boundaries with Carry On, an epic fantasy following the triumphs and heartaches of Simon and Baz from her beloved bestseller Fangirl.

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.

Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

My Thoughts
I am so excited for this book. I don’t think I have been more excited for a book to be published in a really long time. As a lot of people I was completly obsessed with Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and reading Cath’s fanfiction about Simon and Baz. They were so amazing to just see glimpse of that I am so glad to see that Rainbow is giving them there own story.
At this point I don’t know if this is suppose to be Cath’s fanfiction or the “official” last book in the Simon Snow series. Either way I am really excited to see where this goes and see how their story end as well.
The only thing I’m not excited about is this cover I really wished it matched more with Fangirl’s style but I guess I can live with it.
So what is your Waiting on Wednesday this week?
